The Magic City
What was once a mangrove sandbar a few miles east of a barely inhabited mainland, soon became an ocean-side city with one of the most celebrated beaches in the world. From its Art Deco era, to the heyday of the Rat Pack, to a 90s renaissance that never died down, Miami Beach is a wildly popular vacation destination full of fun. South Beach has made Miami famous, with Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Lincoln Road serving as main strips. Here, celebrities, supermodels, and seniors live, visit, and play side by side amidst the funky, colorful architecture and glistening shores.
As wildly entertaining as the beach life can be, there is also so much more to the city. A diverse melting pot of international populations have made Miami home, bringing with them vibrant cultures, flavors, and styles that enrich the tapestry and legacy of the cosmopolitan port city. South Beach’s neighbors that have their own entertainment to offer include Brickell, the financial district; Coconut Grove, a lush waterside bohemian village; Coral Gables, home of the Biltmore Hotel, Venetian Pool, and Miracle Mile; Wynwood, the street-art district; and tony areas like the Design District and Bal Harbor, where the rich and famous shop for luxury labels.
