Embark on Adventure
A vacation the whole family can enjoy.
On a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation, families enjoy a collection of experiences that challenge all limitations. The award-winning cruise line has been recognized by Travel + Leisure readers as one of the world’s best vacation options for families. The ships offer an unprecedented variety of activities, dining venues, and entertainment options that are fun for the whole family—and included in the cruise fare.
On the following pages, we’ve outlined the need-to-know information for each age group to help you make the most of your time onboard.
Royal Babies and Tots
Royal Caribbean has created adventures to keep even the tiniest cruisers entertained. Royal Babies and Tots is geared towards kids six to 36 months old. Tots will receive expert care that nurtures their growing curiosity, under the supervision of trained youth staff. A parent or caregiver must accompany their child during all activity sessions.
Adventure Ocean Youth Program
On Royal Caribbean cruises, kids aren’t just kids. They’re scientists exploring the insect world, eye-patched pirates sailing the high seas, or gold-winning athletes. The Adventure Ocean Youth Program is tiered in three levels: Aquanauts (ages three to five), Explorers (ages six to eight), and Voyagers (ages nine to 11). Kids in this program will dive into a world of magic with bubbling potions, pajama parties, and dancing.
Adventure Ocean Essentials
These little at-sea adventurers enjoy the magic of Bubbling Potions, uncover the dinosaur-sized secrets of Jurassic Junior, and take over the ship with the Pirate Party Parade.
Hands-on science activities and interactive art sessions activate the minds and stimulate the imaginations of young cruisers.
Voyagers enjoy sports tournaments, scavenger hunts, talent shows, and more.
Just for Teens
This isn’t some structured set of classes or rules—Royal Caribbean believes “almost adults” deserve a vacation all their own. Teens are given the freedom they deserve to join preplanned events and activities throughout the day or to simply hang out in teen-only spaces. Teens are broken out by age group so they can enjoy specialized programs made to expand their imaginations in interactive spaces designed just for them. Scheduled activities may include anything from rock-climbing competitions and pool parties to teen dinners and karaoke.
Refueling with Kids
Dining options for the whole family
Travel back in time to 1950s America for classic hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes.
Boardwalk Dog House
Take a seat at the counter for a variety of traditional hot dogs, brats, sausages, and more.
A delicious global pavilion with tons of options, ideal for even the fussiest of eaters.
Perfect for guests who want a slice or two of authentic New York-style pizza.
There’s also My Family Time Dining, Royal Caribbean’s expedited dining service in the Main Dining Room. Kids are served their meals and then picked up by the Adventure Ocean staff so parents can enjoy the rest of the dinner at their own pace.
Fun for the Whole Family
Sure, the youth program is award-winning and the teen hangouts are awesome, but there’s even more fun to be had together as a family on a Royal Caribbean cruise. Get together for festivals, poolside games, karaoke events, theme nights, and more. The ships were built for family fun, with mini-golf courses, rock-climbing walls, ice-skating rinks, FlowRider surf simulators, and a ton of other exciting venues.
