Partners in Conservation

Royal Caribbean’s partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) continues to make strides in ocean conservation with ambitious 2020 sustainability targets in emission reduction, sustainable sourcing, and destination stewardship. In an industry first, Royal Caribbean committed to sustainably sourced seafood for its guests–90% of wild-caught and 75% of farm-raised seafood in North America—certified from the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

Since the partnership’s launch in 2016, the cruise line also has funded the development of a Sharks and Rays Tour Operator Guide, Educate for Nature Fellow Scholarships in the Galapagos, and has worked closely with WWF to develop a holistic approach that improves and increases whale share conservation, sustainable tourism, and community development within the Philippine’s Donsol region. Add to that, Royal Caribbean has donated an educational “jeepney” bus to educate the region’s children on ocean conservation.
