Golden Milk Recipes


1 to 2 tsps turmeric to taste
(powdered or fresh and grated)
Several pinches of ground black pepper
Bring milk to a simmer over medium heat. Combine the turmeric, coconut sugar, and coconut oil in a blender and blend on high. Mix the blender concoction and the milk, whisking until it’s creamy. Add the black pepper on top.

Non-dairy (Vegan) Turmeric Latte
1 to 2 tsps powdered turmeric (to taste)
Combine almond milk, turmeric, and optional coconut oil in a pan. Bring to a boil. Whisk the mixture together. Set on low simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Pour mixture into a cup. Add optional sugar to taste. Add black pepper and optional grated ginger to the top.

Bon Appétit’s Iced Turmeric Latte
4 tsps finely grated fresh turmeric
2 tsps finely grated palm sugar or raw sugar
1 tsps finely grated fresh ginger
Whisk milk, turmeric, palm sugar, ginger, lemon juice, cardamom, and salt in a small bowl until sugar and salt have dissolved; let sit 5 minutes to let flavors meld. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup, pressing on solids to extract juices; discard solids. Fill a glass with ice. Pour latte over and serve with lemon wedge.
